| The story is about a little boy who wakes up one morning to a blizzard. He gets to stay home from school while his mother goes off to work. It tells all the things he does to occupy his time with his grandmother during the day. We chose this book because we had just had a day off from school because of snow. After developing some of the very descriptive phrases we read the book and discussed it. Then the students decided to retell the story by making a big book to share with the other students in the school. It is now in our hallway for all to see. | |
