The trauma was hard to think about. I couldnt imagine being so huddled into such a small space with so many others. It wouldve been scary not knowing when we would leave or when we would die. I would worry a lot about my family and friends. The children, I agree, were so innocent and yet they would shoot them. I dont think I would have been able to separate from my parents and family. In response to: There were many ghettos in many of the occupied countries. These ghettos were very small. In some cases as many as 450,000 people would live in a small area about 1.3 miles. This was a very small area. Many families lived in apartments together. The Germans usually only had the Jewish people live in the ghettos for a short amount of time. Then they moved them to concentration or extermination camps. A vrey small number of Jewish people were moved to concentration camps. They were either moved to concentration camps and then later killed. The Germans began to combine concentration and exermination campd. Nazi doctors would do experiments on some of the P.O.W s . The treatment of many of the jewish communities in Europe was very bad. They were treated as animals. The hardest thing to read about is the children. Many of the children were separated from their families.
