It's disgusting how they treated the Jews. They were treated like dogs. The Germans took the homes of the Jews away and put all of them in small crammed appartments. They practically lived in cages. It was suffocating and disgusting in what they lived in. I agree that what they had to suffer was unimaginable. In response to: I also agree that the trama the children had to suffer was unimaginable. Most were seperated from thier famalies. Then they were to be gassed. Innocent children who reached thier end before it was time. Those who did by some miracle survive, did so only to see more heartache and suffering. Living day to day on such little, hardly enough to satisfy one's hunger let alone nourish a growing child. Once you entered a ghetto or a concentration camp you were forced to grow up and obey or die. In response to: There were many ghettos in many of the occupied countries. These ghettos were very small. In some cases as many as 450,000 people would live in a small area about 1.3 miles. This was a very small area. Many families lived in apartments together. The Germans usually only had the Jewish people live in the ghettos for a short amount of time. Then they moved them to concentration or extermination camps. A vrey small number of Jewish people were moved to concentration camps. They were either moved to concentration camps and then later killed. The Germans began to combine concentration and exermination campd. Nazi doctors would do experiments on some of the P.O.W s . The treatment of many of the jewish communities in Europe was very bad. They were treated as animals. The hardest thing to read about is the children. Many of the children were separated from their families.
